February, designed by Burne-Jones, shows a young woman in a mob cap dressed in a flower-patterned rococo gown, standing warming herself at the kitchen fire. She is accompanied by a black cat and reads a Valentine's card.
Oddly, in the painting of the tile, the costume has been changed from Burne Jones' medieval original into an eighteenth century style with mob cap.
