This late drawing does not appear to be related to any of Burne-Jones's finished works. It is freely drawn and shows the elongated canon of proportion the artist favoured in his last years.
This favourite model of the 1890s fitted with the proportions of the Byzantine influenced late works. Her body can be seen throughout the Kelmscott Press illustrations and the stained glass of the period.
