The central light in this design remains empty. The design was originally intended for a window of three lights in St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, but was never executed. The figure of Courage or Fortitude was used by Morris and Co in 1895 for a window in Horstead Church, near Norwich. There are no Morris & Co windows in the Cathedral. The design for Prudence was used in the Albion Window (second from right, top row), at the Congregational Church, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire. Posthumously, it was utilised in 1903 in the bottom row, left, of the north aisle, third window of Christ Church Cathedral in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This cartoon also appears in the Morris & Co Windows Book, 1940P604.1, as numbers 229 and 230, respectively. Bequeathed by James Richardson Holliday, 1927.
