This work, which cannot be identified as either oil or watercolour, appears to have subsequently lost to scholarship from the 1925 sale. It can be assumed that being followed by lot 67 (nude version of Spes ex Maas Gallery) with the same description it is an allied image, which would tentatively date it to the mid-1870s.
