Fitzwilliam Account book 1862 Dec. 16 Large cartoon of Maries 5 -- Burne-Jones was paid £5 for the cartoon, which was returned to him and which he subsequently over-painted. While the cartoon was with Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. knowing that it was to be returned, it was copied by a workshop assistant, possible Charles Napier Hemy, from which the window at Lyndhurst was prepared. The former attribution to William Morris is suspect as it bears no resemblance to his style except perhaps he added the foliage in the background, it is accepted that Morris added foliage to window designs for example at St Editha's church, Amington, Staffordshire.
