Sir, I notice that in your 'Pictures of / 1890', you have included a represen- / tation of the piece of tapestry / executed by us after Mr Burne- / Jones' designs. If you have had / Mr Burne-Jones' permission to /publish it I have no more to say; / but if this is not the case you have / done me a great dis-service, as I / promised Mr. Burne-Jones not / to allow the work to be / published in any paper without / his permission. I must add that I had not the least idea / that you were going to publish / the design, or I should have / immediately asked you not to do / so.
