According to Burne-Jones's biographer, Penelope Fitzgerald, Pendry 'ran errands, gave glasses of wine to the thirsty cast-makers and kept children in fits of laughter by pretending to be afraid of the dragons on the Chinese carpet'.
Pendry was the Burne-Jones's servant and not a studio worker.
