This drawing is too early for the Days of Creation. The Days of Creation have to date from 1869 as they were specifically made for Middleton Cheney church (there were six lights so the seven days had to be accommodated to this therefore firmly rooting the design in1869, (the sixth light has figures for day six and seven). The drapes belong to an earlier style being heavy and hanging in bold folds unlike the cartoons (Bonhams) that are in the lighter fabric of the coming Greek type of material. I was puzzled by this design when I owned it in the sixties. I then suggested it might have been for Astologia but not at all sure now! Maybe we will find out soon.
