Referring to stained glass windows at St. Margaret's, Rottingdean, Sussex. Burne-Jones' first windows were designed in 1892. a a year later he gave the east window as a record of his daughter's marriage. Others followed in 1894 and 1897. The first letter also refers to a series of Merton Abbey tapestries illustrating the Quest of the Holy Grail (see no. 33), but presumably not the original set.
