An 1890s re-drawing of the 1860s design for the Wedding Procession of Psyche. It was in preparation for an illustrated edition by the Kelmscott Press c.1894 of the Story of Cupid and Psyche from The Earthly Paradise by William Morris. Like the earlier 1860s project, for which a large number of woodcuts were made, it once again came to nothing and the seven volumes appeared unadorned in 1897. . The design in a modified form, was painted in 1894-5. (Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique, Brussels - Musée Modern Museum).
