This pencil drawing of Fanny Cornforth wearing her hair in a snood, relates to the watercolour Viridis of Milan of 1861. Paintings made by Rossetti of Fanny at this date, Fair Rosamond (1861) and Bocca Bacciata (1859), support the the identification of the model her and Rossetti's influence also inspired a Venetian Renaissance source.
