A tile from this design, for the month of 'February' is above the fireplace in the Dining Hall at Queen's College. The designer of these tiles is, however given as Ford Madox Brown (1821-1893), both by Pevsner in his guide to Cambridge (1954) and in the volume on Cambridge by the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments. The tiles were executed by Morris, Marshall, Faulkener & Co. in 1861 at a time when Madox Brown was also designing for the firm. Burne-Jones was then much influenced by Madox Brown. It is possible, however, that Burne-Jones submitted designs (see 1242.1 and 1242.2) and the 'February' is just one that was used, the general credit going to Madox Brown.
