Fitzwilliam Account Book 1866 August Cecily 5-- A figure that first appears accompanying the return of St George and Princess Sabra, the seventh painting in the St George Series of 1865, which was adapted as a stained glass cartoon representing St Cecilia in 1866, but the whereabouts of the window if it existed at all is unknown. The first known use is in the south transept south window of 1873 in Jesus College Chapel, Cambridge. This recently rediscovered drawing of 1866 was one of many depictions of a figure playing a portative organ. It is difficult to decide whether the drawing was made for the painting or to be used as the basis of a stained glass cartoon. However, Sewter suggests that the 1873 window (Jesus College Chapel, Cambridge) was in fact designed in 1866 and this drawing would support his theory. Schoenherr confirms this as he identifies Cecily of 1866 with this design.
