There is no figure exactly like the present drawing, in the St Frideswide window. the drawing has been inscribed by Fairfax Murray, as being a study for the window which must be taken at the present as correct. According to Whiteley in "Oxford and the Pre-Raphaelites", pub 1989, this drawing is "A study for the figure of the Saint in the upper left of the St. Frideswide window in Oxford Cathedral." However it is possible that the study is for one of her attendant ladies.
