On opposite page Botticelli in Turin picture of Tobit After traveling overland through France Burne-Jones arrived at Turin in 21st September 1871 and immediately began exploring the museums and the first copy he made in the sketchbook is a detail from Filippino Lippi's Three Angels and Young Tobias (1485) in the Galleria Sabauda, Turin, at that date attributed to Botticelli, and he records that in the same gallery he studied a Triumph of Chastity and two Mantegnas " ... that I came for alone (?)."
