This is a circular stained glass design for the south aisle of the Church of All Saints, Selsley, Gloucestershire. It has been suggested that it is a portrait of William Morris. Along with 1904P540 (which it is mounted with) it is the first design Burne-Jones executed for Morris & Co.
Fitzwlliam Account Book 1861 Two small heads of postles (crossed out) On the same sheet there is a design for St Paul said to be a portrait of G F Bodley.
It remained the only complete scheme of glazing for a church, designed and executed at all the same period, and is thus of outstanding importance as an example of the firm's early work.
