Fitzwilliam Account Book 1867 Mar. 1 2 designs Kens 14 (£) This drawing was the basis for the cartoon for one of the set of six stained glass subjects called The Garland weavers in the Green Dining room of the South Kensington Museum ( Victoria and Albert Museum). The figure was again used for a watercolour ( possibly the over-painted cartoon) and was to have been part of the design for a painting (never realised) which like The Lament (1865) would have become one of Burne-Jones's earliest neo-classical paintings of the Aesthetic Movement. The initial sketch is held by the William Morris Gallery.
