The 1980s buyer of North End House Rottingdean removed the frescoes and tried to sell them. PN was offered them sometime later (and did not buy them on principle).
Angela Thirkell in "Three Houses" described this watermill on p. 60 "Across the landing was our day nursery, also an attic room with a sloping wall on the outer side. On this sloping wall my Grandfather had painted a picture for my pleasure, a water-mill with its large wheel reflected in a smooth millpond."
