A drawing for the silver panel was exhibited at the Burlington Fine Arts club in 1899 no 108 entitled Study for Metal work described as "Figure of girl with hand touching foliage of a tree on which hangs a shield. Gold on dark ground. signed EBJ 1896 9 3/4 by 6 1/2" The image shows a draped figure at a Tree from which is hung a Knights Breast Plate probably the site of a knights grave, a motif Burne-Jones used in the illustrations to the Aeneid. The silver panel was worked by R S Catterson-Smith.
